Most of the times I do the first option, but I'm a weirdo who enjoys doing the dishes, it's like a zen activity to me 😂

I have a great dishwashing combination system that gets me through 10 days wash free. First item to consider is I keep both clean and dirty dishes in dishwasher.
3 days week big fast food lunch/dinner and bake chicken or whatever for 2 times a week for 2-3 dinners.
Take out clean plates put back in when finished eating. Pan too. So between the fast food lunches that are two meals and large mass cookings I’m good for 10 days of dish washing.
I did numbers too. On water savings alone I am 11 short of breaking even. If I add in time and trying to cook savings, I’m ahead of the game.
Every 10 days, unless stinks up house before, I wash dishes.
I wash after every meal as it is usually just me. The only reason it may wait till the next morning is if I was out all evening. Then I make a new mess all over...
Thanks.
I have a dishwasher, but it doesn't work very good. It used to, but then I ran out of soap with phosphate's in it. Soap without that, doesn't work without running it two or three times.
Not sure how wasting all that water in a desert is environmentally friendly.
The nationwide trend of phasing them out. Can still find some decent soap now and then, but its pretty hard anymore.
I don't use it anymore, instead... I got rid of most my dishes, two of everything, two plates, two cups, two forks, two, well you get the idea.
Makes it easier to clean up as there is never a large mess and I do it while cooking, while waiting for my food to burn, err finish cooking.
I try to wash them right away. Don't want dirty dishes sitting around

I NEED a clean sink! :P
I lived w/o a dish washer for many years. It has to be done after every meal. From time to time I have left one or two to soak over night, then done the next day.
I am teaching my children all dishes must be done, sink clean! Told them how I have seen college friends roommates apts. filled with dishes, it disgusts me.
We have a dish washer now, we use it but I sometimes just wash it on the spot.
I am still a little confused with the benefit of a dish washer aside from a big party. By the time I am done raising the dishes... its half way clean. Just do the rest right?
I don’t have a kitchen right now it’s having to be replaced so I wash the dishes in the bathroom sink (in a basin on the counter, not in the sink)
Fortunately we have this absolutely amazing magical machine that overnight takes care of all our dirty pots, pans and dishes etc.
I wash any pots, pans and prep tools or cooking utensils as I cook and the dinner dishes immediately after the meal and because I only cook for one or two I don't usually bother with the dishwasher.
Lol you single people who dont use dishwashers. Try imagining dinner for four or five. That dishwasher becomes your best friend
Wash them as I'm cooking -- whatever doesn't fit in the dishwasher immediately. Cannot stand to get to the end of the meal and have dishes.
We do not have a dishwasher at our vacation home. We have no rule about who washes the dishes. We both do them and it seems to be a 50/50 split.
Every evening right after dinner - in the dishwasher :)
I tend to wash pots and pans while I'm cooking if I am done with it. I also tend to wash dishes immediately after dinner.
whenever the dishwasher is full. Great invention!
Every night just about
Immediately
