Does anybody else feel like when it rains it pours☔️?

Question

Basically meaning like a bunch of bad stuff will happen all at once.

I've gone through this multiple times in my life but going through it again like just in the last week its been every day that I keep getting terrible news dropped on me 🌧

I'm trying to keep in mind that storms don't last forever and brighter days are ahead ☀️

First, good thoughts that your stormy clouds clear up and a rainbow shines through. And yes, at times I notice streaks like this - and many times it happens in 3's. In someways I guess it's better to get it over with in a flurry versus a steady drip - sort of like best way to get a band-aid off - just rip it.

But... when you're in the middle of the flurry it can be hard to see it that way. I do always trust in how everything works itself out eventually and how quickly things can get in the rear-view mirror.

Will add... when bad stuff is happening, I find it's best to double down on doing positive things and staying active. I've seen some folks who are going through bad things get in a wallowing state without much activity and that just makes it worse.

It also works in the positive direction as well. You're either on the upward spiral or on the downward spiral. Mofos who get lucky get on a lucky streak for a period of time. And those who get unlucky - one thing after another keeps falling apart. It's very interesting that it works like that.

I always felt like this happened to me when I was younger and in the thick of it. It would feel like one thing after another. Only if these problems are small and tedious and not serious life changing problems. Then you will find it easier to change "it never rains, but it pours" scenario. You need to start thinking instead. ' life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain"

Yeah my mum always says "it comes in threes" and usually it really does.

Sorry you are getting bad things piling up. Hopefully you can deal with one at a time and one way or another put the bad things behind you..

I do feel that way. The way we live our lives has a tendency to do the same behaviors with multiple things.

The person who hasn't maintained their car is also not likely to have maintained their lawnmower. And then you can kind apply a similar sort of logic to the rest of life.

I've definitely experienced it, everything could be going good. And then all of a sudden, something goes wrong... From there it's like a snowball effect. Everything starts to fail lol smh.

No, I am more like this beloved local statue which expresses hope the rain is stopping with an out stretch hand. (on sunny days it rains from inside the umbrella ).

Yep, usually bad things happen in 3’s for me. For example, last year within the same week, my car broke down, my washing machine broke and my cat needed an emergency vet visit.
