Has anyone here played these and what did you think of them?

They rank among my favorite games, and I've been playing video games for a long time.

I'll admit, part of that is because I'm a mythology geek, and Norse mythology especially. So, even though they obviously aren't entirely faithful to the source, it is still fun to play through the settings.

If you like open world RPGs, exploring, and collecting, they're great games. If you like mythology, they're fantastic. The kid, Atreus, can get kind of annoying, at times (I just want to smack the shit out of him at w couple of points), but they're definitely worth a playthrough, or two.

I really wasn’t a fan, but only because I’m a mega-fan of the classic Greek mythology GOW games. The newer GOW games are more open world with side quests, which I didn’t enjoy, and I found the objectives and boss fights more difficult than the original games.


If you’ve never played the original games, then you’ll likely enjoy those 2 games, as you’ve got nothing to compare them to. I have friends who loved those 2 games as they never played the originals.
