It all depends on where you live and what your particular sutuation is. How much do you spend on rent, or how much on a mortgage if you bought a property? I'm lucky to have paid off my mortgage, but it was a considerable amount in the past.
My biggest monthly expenses are probably electricity bill, food and gas for car and motorcycle. Food prices have gone up tremendously in the past couple of years.
Costs for medical care are taken care of by our state system, so no expenses for private medical care. Unless you want to take a private insurance, but that's optional.
It also depends on the size of your family , how many kids you have and how much goes towards education and hobbies.
No. You gotta think. Rent is probably like $1600 to $2400 a month if you renting an apartment or condo, so you’re pretty much saving 2 weeks of money for that. Then you have regular bills like electric, gas, and water. Your car payments, gas and repairs. Groceries. $1000 a week works if you living with your parents and paying nothing in bills.
Depends on where you live. We live comfortably on around $800 per week. Weekly expenses for us are $320 rent, $180 groceries, $100 utilities, $50 gas and $150 leftover to spend on whatever, usually goes into our savings account though.
Where can you get rent for only $320 unless you share a house with 4 other couples? 😯🤔
We rent a 3 bedroom house to ourselves. In New Zealand. $320 NZD is $181 USD.
Wow! In this day and age that is simply AMAZING!! 😯😜
Not when you may have a $2,000 a month house and a $500 a month car payment.
$1000 per week is still $4000 per month.. -$2000 monthly house costs, -$500 monthly car costs, still left with $1500, which is a lot.
@petitedollbabee $1500 seems like it is a lot to some people, but it's not. Remember, you have all your other expenses too, like food, water, gas/electric, garbage pickup, internet, phone, car insurance, house insurance, gasoline, entertainment, and saving a bit for emergencies. You aren't calling Ghost Busters on this one, it's all coming out of your pocket. 💲💲💸💸
Yikes, true. It all adds up.

Definitely if you live in a cheaper area
It's definitely possibly to live frugally at $1k a week. But far far away from comfortably lol. I think multi-millionaires and billionaires only have that option.
I would say yeah, you would just have to find a place where it's fairly cheap to live.. I believe any place outside of a city and the surrounding area is good for that type of money..
I'm sure there could be more affordable areas... somewhere out there
Everyone’s expenses are different. I would say it’s pretty decent money. If you’re just one person supporting him or herself, and you can’t live off that, something is wrong with you. Now, if you have $1,800 rent to pay every month, car payments, 4 mouths to feed, then things will be tough.
That's 4,345 per month. With a little frugality and restraint, that's more than enough.
Yeah! I could easily do that! Where do I sign up?
You can live. But depends on your definition of comfortable.
It depends on where you live. Different places have different prices of living.
Yes, I think so.
Not where I live.
Life is expensive. I wouldn't count on it.
depends on where you live
Not at all.
