If you don't reply to normal texts to people is it for a reason or just because you forget?

and for the sake of the question lets say the people you are texting are friends or acquaintances that you have been talking to for awhile. if you ever not reply to texts sometimes is it for a reason or you just forget?

And if its for a reason what would you say it is? maybe something they said? they bored you? you lost interest? You didn't know what to reply back with?

If I don't reply to texts with a friend or acquaintance its usually because i forget or i read it and mentally respond to it without actually responding to it

No, I make sure to respond. It may not always be immediate, but I make sure to respond unless I feel like the person ended the conversation.

Whats an 'end of the conversation' look like to you? like a one word reply from them for example? like 'lol' or 'cool' or something?

Could be that or just that everything that was discussed had been and there is nothing more to say. If I can’t think of a reply and I see the conversation trail off a bit, I can tell.

I usually don't reply to texts, regardless of who is sending them. Those that know me are aware that I don't reply because my cell phone is a hassle to operate.

I have to type 3 times a key to get the desired letter. It is so time consuming that I am not answering any texts unless they are an emergency. So far, I never had an emergency that would require me to type any text.

I own a 1996 model N***a cell phone that is solely made to make actual phone calls and as I said, to type basic texts and nothing more.

Sometimes I open a text when I'm in the middle of something and intend on replying when I'm done with whatever I'm doing, but then I forget. I'm trying to quit doing that, but I haven't been successful yet. 😂
