for me, a good book does the trick

or a long and slow run, because in the beginning, I focus on everything that needs my attention, but with time and kilometers, my mind starts to wander :D

Depends on what you need to be distracted from and for how long. Sometimes it's a good walk. Sometimes a book, training, tv, music, any hobbies in particular.

Yes, the thing about learning new skills is that you will probably not like them, in the beginning at least. Sometimes it’s even frustrating and you don’t like it at all because you have no prior knowledge of some things. However, when you start making progress it gets easier and then it will be enjoyable even. Patience is key. Also it’s very good for your brain and you’ll be proud of yourself. You already know a lot of skills, you can probably just build into those. Many skills are very profitable too.

Yes! That’s how it started 😂 Very frustrating. Basically my delusion starts these little beliefs that I can learn anything and midway when I realize it was a bad idea, my inner critic starts making me think I’m a failure already. It’s like a mental tug-of-war. 😂 Trying to learn Mandarin definitely humbled me though.
