My wife and I have always had cats. Cat's don't need baths.

Okay, there were two times.
I rescued our first kitty from the middle of a busy highway moments before she was run over. It turned out that she was only 5 weeks or so old.
When I brought her home, she was filthy and full of fleas. My wife washed her twice to get her clean.
That wonderful girl was an indoor kitty. She passed away at almost exactly 22 years old, but never had another bath.

Another time, the cat we have now sneaked out one night. We normally keep him indoors.
He must have tried to make friends with a skunk because, when he came home he stank to high heaven.
My wife bathed him twice with soap and water and vinegar. He howled like he was being tortured the whole time and tmhen hid for about a day afterward. He still smelled like skunk for about a week, but not nearly as bad.

Not even the indoor-outdoor cats we've had ever needed a bath. Cats don't get stinky and they are fastidious about keeping well groomed. But they do love being brushed.

It's this... them things stayed stinky and disgusting a long long time... there's no truth to "cats take baths". They lick themselves yea, that ain't no bath.

I'm an owner of 2 turtles which spend their entire time in Water. As a result, I don't have a problem with their baths😁

Our dog loves the bath and once done is a hoot as we watch him going full bore running around.

I couldn't get another pet after Merlin died. She was so special. She was a wild feline, all black with green eyes, who lived in the woods behind my house. I earned her trust with Meow Mix, and I'll never forget the day she let me pet her for the first time.

We use a detachable shower head to wash my dog. She doesn't like that she can't see where the water is coming from but has no issues getting wet or getting shampooed. She just gets nervous with the water coming from a place she can't understand, she has the same problem with sprinklers, hoses and rain.

the doggo is fluffy, so it has to go to a doggo spa... for sure

the cats don't really need it, but they do enjoy a cloth/sponge bath during the hottest days of the summer

Our dog loves a bath. She's a longhair and it takes us almost an hour to bathe her. We take her to one of the local Dog Stores that rents out dog bathing facilities.

My dog Daisy died two years ago, but she hated baths. She would literally stand in the corner and shake if she thought she was getting one. She had half a dozen baths in 14 years.

I shower with my dogs when they need baths. They don't like it, but they're not terrible. A few spankings taught them that.

I let the kids bathe the cat. It's a BATTLE and he HATES it!! He's so combative we need to wrap him in a towel just to get a hold of him and control his murder mittens!!
