What would you do if someone you thought was like a friend to you and she helped you move into another place and stole almost everything?

This is the position that I am in. She is my caregiver only she doesn't do anything to give me personal care. More like grocery shopping, laundry and running errands.
She gets paid $18.10/hour and hardly does anything that has to do with caregiving.
But I am going to have to fire her because she has stolen from me before.
The things she stole total over $1,700 at least.
What action would you take?

Also I want my belongings given back to me. I didn't spend all of that money only for HER to use and enjoy MY belongings. How can I do that?

I just found out that she stole all of my pictures even the ones of my boyfriend who died.😢😥 All of my pictures that were in a plastic storage container. Gone!!

Fire her, ask for your belongings back, document everything, and file charges against her. Not necessarily in that order.

I did call the police and they told me that I had to go online and fill out the paperwork. They wouldn't come out here.
She also threatened my life if I ever called her boss on her but I have to tell the social worker about this.

She isn’t a friend if she is stealing from you , so you should call her company and report her and threaten to call the cops if they don’t do anything about it
