neighbours upstairs have a constantly screaming and crying baby and they’re incredibly noisy. they do diy late at night and even on sundays. constantly scraping furniture across the floor at night. dropping things on floor so loudly that it scared me and my family sometimes as it’s so loud that we think it could be something in our house. talking so loud that you can hear them for a completely different apartment. i’m a student who obviously has to wake up early and goes to sleep late due to studying. i’m constantly being woken up in the night because of them and their furniture and child and not getting sufficient sleep. it’s making me ill as i cannot sleep properly due to a child that doesn’t even belong to me. my 15 year old sister is autistic and the noise drivers her around the bend and she cannot study or sleep either. please someone tell me what to do to put an end to this. my neighbours have been incredibly noisy and annoying long before having a baby. once by running a bath for so long that we had a leak on our ceiling. knocked the door many times and it took them about 5 minutes to come to the door and when we explained they just used it as an opportunity to tell us that they were expecting a baby in a few months not even offering to help repair the ceiling. someone please give me some advice i know this isn’t the app for it really but i don’t know what else to use thankyou

forgot to mention: once we complained about the noise because it was late at night and they had about 30 people (we saw all of them) round in the their tiny apartment. we knocked the door and asked for the shouting and banging on the floor to stop. the husband just replies ‘we’re playing a game’ and closes the door.

A baby is going to cry at times. You need to politely respect them by calmly telling them that you are slightly being disturbed by the noise factor, while telling them you understand their position as well. This will help to resolve the conflict without confrontation.
i made them move out
What did your parents say about this?
when can you get a job…?
help out and move out to a better place/neighborhood.
but it’s not our responsibility to move… they should have to be effected not us
i have a job
It’s a choice. So up to you.
I can control my life…. I am not going to waste my time dealing with stuff like that.
I am much happier and at peace when I take control of my life.
