According to studies last year 2024 they studied 4 peoples brains and something about there being so many microplastics in the tissue that's equivalent enough to make a plastic spoon, so if you ever need a spoon just know you have a spoon you can never use 😂

Last I heard it was enough plastic to make three or five paper clips, I can't remember which one. But that may have been an older study, I would not be surprised if it's become more now. We do our best to minimize our plastic usage, or at least more than it seems the average person does. But there's mycoplastics and everything now, even our soil and plants. It's pretty crazy!

I wonder how scientists conducted this study; did they used some super precise, high resolution scan, or did this happen post mortem? Also, I thought that most of what we ingest, or inhale, leaves our body, during a trip to the bathroom
