What was the worst YouTube video you've ever seen?

For me it was this one guy who, I don't remember the exact topic of the video, but let's say the video was about a certain movie, with the title and thumbnail about that movie... the video was about 15 minutes long or so and he only spent like the first 2 minutes ACTUALLY talking about the movie; and then the other 13 minutes were just him rambling on and on about random unrelated stuff.

I remember at the opening of the video he made a really bad sarcasm joke. Like in a really sarcastic tone he said: "Hahaha I like this movie... no just kidding, who actually likes this movie?" Like first of all, by saying just kidding after saying something clearly said sarcastically you're literally overexplaining your own joke.

And then he talked about the movie for 2 minutes. And in the other 13 minutes he just talked about random stuff going on in his life like work, coworkers he doesn't like spending time around, how he has to get a new car because his current one is fucked up, something his mom said that pissed him off, etc. And none even remotely related to the actual movie.

Then he started telling us to check out other new videos he made, blah blah blah. If this video fails to amuse me why would I check out your other stuff?

And last but not least, get this. HE STARTED TO GO ON AND ON ABOUT HOW HE WAS GONNA TAKE A SHOWER? He was like: "Right as soon as this is over I'm gonna go take a shower guys. I'm gonna scrubee scrub scrub my whole entire body. Use a nice coconut scented shampoo for my hair. Gotta rinse up my hair about twice, add some conditioner as well. Gonna use a nice body wash, but not scrub my body too hard as that can make my acne bleed. After the shower gotta put on some lotion for my bad dry skin." And yes, in that much detail.

So his entire video was basically: "I hate this movie. Watch me talk about random life shit. And I gotta go take a shower guys."

For the record I don't remember the specific guy. It was quite a long time ago.

Oh, too many to count.

• Videos titled using capital letters containing the word truth and exclamation points, such as TRUTH NO ONE TALKS ABOUT!!
• Videos of Minecraft (or LoL or Fortnite or Among Us) streamers targeting child and pre-teen audiences
• Facecam people evangelizing about Political and/or Religious topic
• Any videos using Metal Gear Solid sound effects
• Almost any video featuring the face of someone talking about any topic

As a result, I'm using YT for music only, and I'm happy the YT's algorithm and I have this agreement.

1. Yup, those all caps videos are awful. Trying too hard to grab your attention.
2. Ah yeah. Those streamers who target children and pre-teens basically just make completely mindless content. Especially knowing their demographic doesn't have any high standards and will just watch ANYTHING and everything they make.
3. Those political/religious facecam videos are the very definition of low-budget, lol.
4. Ah yes, overused jokes liked the Metal Gear Solid ones definitely get old fast.
5. And yeah, those people just ramble on and on with no end.

Using YT for music only is not a bad idea, actually. With so many bad videos out there it's really the safest option. Glad you and the YT algorithm have this agreement. Lol.

Ah damn. Both those things are so bad it's almost funny, lol. One old (er) thing, and one new thing. It's almost amazing how human beings can invent such amazing things like technology and cars and then crap like this.

Still not as bad as the guy I talked about in my post, though. Nothing worse than some idiot who only talks about the title topic for 2 minutes and then goes on and on about shit about work and annoying coworkers, and how he's gonna go take a shower.

The most commonly watched videos on YouTube are reaction videos. Typically, it is a video of someone watching a video or, even more dull, a video game. In other words, they are for people who are saying I can no longer think for myself anymore, I will let someone else do the thinking for me. They are moronic videos made for moronic people, and unfortunately the world is full of these people that will watch like zombies.

LOL. Funny because it's true. Even worse when they don't ACTUALLY react and just sort of sit there making weird faces but not actually saying or doing anything.

Besides the reaction videos those Reddit text to speech videos are also awful. Pretty sure 99% of them are uploaded by bots.

Ah yeah. Commenting on other YouTuber videos basically takes zero skill. It's like the equivalent of cooking your own meal from scratch versus just ordering some food and claiming that you were the one who made it.
