Do guys only show interest or make a move if they know that the girl is into them?

Personally I wasted so much time and energy on chasing woman that I liked but many times I came to understand that they get so many dm's from other dudes that I'm done wasting my time while she is having contact with 10 other dudes.

Not every woman is like that! But those woman are very rare and I'm simply done wasting hours off time and effort for nothing.

I know my worth... I'm loyal, I'm caring and will always be there for my girl, in good times but even more in bad times.

The only way I know for sure that a woman is really liking me for who I am, is to wait and let her put some effort into chasing me. Thats the only way I know for sure that this woman really likes me instead of me being the best choice out of all the guys she got in her dm's

It helps if they know ( assuming they are attracted ) , but the answer is NO in essence , if you want them to make a move , make it as obvious as possible.

No some guys do it to build up confidence despite being treated poorly then there are guys who hit up girls but are either rejected politely and even complimented for being brave to approach. Ugly guys former hot guys latter
