How do girls show interest in a guy?

So say you're walking down a street, or in the library or in the shop, and you see an attractive guy, what body languages cues do you give to indicate this? I'm asking this as girl rarely approach girls and it's better to approach a girl that wants to be approached.

Do girls smile at strangers or do they just give the 'checking you out' stare and hopefully the guy approaches if he likes her?

If you hold eye contact for more than about, 5 seconds, that could be an invite to approach. Just a quick glance and smile could be generally just politeness, but it's better to approach anyway. If you lock eyes with her, she doesn't smile and breaks contact quickly, don't approach.

For me I'll hold eye contact, smile, possibly approach them if I have the opportunity or make an excuse to speak to them.

I normally find a way to face him, by sitting somewhere where I know he can see me or by turning my body completely so he can see me. Then I look at him A LOT (I can't help it! He's attractive). I might even try to look extra cute by oversmiling at my phone, twirling and playing with my hair, and gazing off into the distance. It sounds weird but for me I feel like I am sending off HUGE clues.

I have never been approached... so I don't know but when I'm getting to know someone in a group of my friends, I will usually smile more, laugh more, be sarcastic with the person I like and tease them... I will try to be in close physical proximity and try to touch their shoulder or something.

I give him the checking out stare. I flirt with my eyes sometimes. For example is the person is not passing me by I could be looking at him one minute, and the next I'll be looking down on the floor and smiling. After a while I'd look at him again. That's about it :p

Generally they lightly flirt. I do suggest approaching girls with open posture. Cause usually you just won't know if a girl wants you to approach her or not. If in doubt just approach and feel her out. If you think she likes you lightly flirt with her.

When I was single I would ensure men knew I appreciated their attractiveness and I would sometimes whistle at them to demonstrate this. Other times I would look at them frequently in awe, and approach them with a bold statement of they peaked my curiosity.

Whistle? No offense, but isn't that kind of creepy? If someone whistled at me, I'd be terrified because it just gives off a cat calling kind of vibe. I'd rather words were used.

@hiddenviolets That's precisely why I never whistled at women, because we're way too uptight about things like this (and I'm not attracted to women). One time I whistled at a guy he smiled and gave me the finger guns; so it's an entirely different dynamic. It's a lot more fun to do things people don't expect you to do! :)

i would make quick eye contact and then look away even faster lol, probably be clumsy because im trying too hard to act cool and ignore that he was there. while giving quick glances now and then to check him out 😂

usually we're nice and we try to drop hints or flirt at least with me and most of my friends. but if she's treating you significantly better then most others especially other guys that's usually a tell tale sign

Depends on the girl. Confident ones might smile and approach you and the shy ones will just stare at you and weirdly be around you if you're in a library or a shop. me I'd just look at the person i admired, and sit near him and hoping that he would approach me or smile at me.

I ask questions, may sometimes initiate but rarely. I'll use emojis and give nice responses. I'm shy at first so I will giggle say "like" or "um" a million times, look away or at the floor, uncontrollable smile. That's a few!

Well I tend to stare but if you look over I'd glance away. If my body is kinda pointing towards you and I keep glancing over then that would mean I think you're cute but I'm too shy to approach you.

Girls will usually smile at strangers, but may be nervous to approach a guy she likes. A girl might keep looking over at you or try to be close to you if possible.
