Shy girls: How do you show interest in a guy?

I know its kinda hard for a shy girl to give obvious signals, but any help will be appreciated since this girl seems to show a little too much interest in me (making fun of me when she is usually a nice and polite girl, sarcasm, constant teasing, taking whatever I say and more often than not putting a negative twist to it). A lot of times she seems very nervous around me although she will initiate conversations once in a while with some random comment directed at me, even though she has no problem talking to other people, so I don't know if I should take it as her "being shy" (that's what some of her friends have told me, even though she doesn't really seem shy with other people) or just lack of interest. I think she is interested. As a "shy" girl myself, I get nervous around the guy I like and end up teasing him and twisting his words because I don't know how to handle myself. My articulation abilities decrease (not too drastically, but they definitely decrease). I also end up covering my mouth with my hands and blushing a lot. As you can imagine, I am not particularly proud of any of these behaviors :)

it sounds like she's interested. I'm pretty shy, but never around friends or people I'm used to being around. however, if its a guy I'm interested in I get a little nervous and abseent mindedly use sarcasm and jokes and stuff to seem more laid back and relaxed around the guy.

its hard to speak for other people but it seems like she has interest in u..i could see myself doing that..considering I use to be shy and did things like that when I had interest in this one guy..i just didn't know how to approach him..i wanted him to make it known to me that he was interested..lol..weird but true
