If you had to rate your 5 senses, which is best? Which is worst? Has anyone recognized (+ or -) your sense? Do you have a 6th sense for anything?

I can't think of any that are exceptional. I'm average when it comes to hearing, sight, and taste. My sense of smell is terrible! My house could be on fire and I probably wouldn't smell the smoke. I guess I am a little sensitive when it comes to touch. I'm very sensitive to cold and heat, if that's considered touch.

Absolutely hot and cold are part of touch! I can't stand the cold! Even if your house were on fire and you couldn't spell that What about rotten food or other organic type smells?

I actually have to ask people to smell certain foods if I'm concerned they might be spoiled. It's weird, because I think I have a sense of taste like most people, you would think if my sense of smell was bad, that it would affect my sense of taste.

My worst is smell since I really don't have a sense of smell to speak of but my best is hearing. I have very sensitive hearing to be honest.

I'm curious for people with good hearing like yourself, is it limited to certain range or pitch? Like can you pick out various instruments out of a orchestral arrangement and stuff like that or you can just hear whispers from a mile away?

Lol it's not THAT fine tuned to hear whispers a mile away, but whispers directly in my ear actually hurt because of how breathy they are being loud. If I had any musical talent I probably could name instruments playing though

I miss being able to hear and understand what people are talking about. Yes I tell them to speak up but do they no. Actually I think they get a kick out of it. Hopefully the people that do think it’s funny losses theirs completely so they know how I feel. No hearing aids does not work tried several type,

Is cochlear implants possible? I can't see people doing that intentionally

Actually they do, but for implants my insurance states you have to be completely deaf before they will pay for them. Since I have 45 percent hearing in one ear, deaf in the other ear, I’m not consider deaf. Can’t afford it myself. Hearing aid messes words up worst. I wear great headphones watching tv and still only understand about a fifth of the words.

I thought the same thing about myself until diaper duty came calling. Apparently I have a sensitive nose for organic smells but other types of smells I have difficulty with

People think I can’t hear very well because I talk loud but I go on letting them think this.
This way I know everything that’s really going on around me. 🤣

Touch. My hearing is fine but I have auditory processing problems so it’s difficult to understand speech sometimes. My sense of smell and taste isn’t great. And my eyesight is getting slightly worse each year.

It's a toss up between sight and sound for worst of the senses. I have 50% hearing loss in one ear. But my sight has gotten worse over the years especially driving at night. I guess touch would be the best sense out of the five.

Touch is the worst, but I don't use it much.
