It is, I am from Central America and that crap can be heard everywhere, its not music its sh*t in a bucket disguised as music, there is no work in the lyrics, everything rhymes phonetically, well because its forced to rhyme phonetically, the beats are simple and identical between songs and artists, they have just created a formula for "music" and they use it on all their "songs"
it just comes to show how Latin countries have begun to die in the music area and the artist are just a bunch of imbeciles who have found an easy way out of poverty, to mesmerize the majority of idiots that populate the country into liking and paying for their "music"
When you go to the club and girls are moving like this, then you get to liking it... =P
Definitely alone if you're talking about old school reggaeton. I'd agree with you on the new stuff but most songs can't even be called reggaeton anymore.
Oh and if you knew the origins of the genre, you'd understand why the beats are the same.
omg I HATE it! I'm so SICK of it. like honestly it all sounds the same to me. and they think they are the shet and just ugh! it gets on my nerves. the closest I have gone on liking it is because of pitbull but I don't think he does regge anymore.

The rhythm is the same, but that's why its reageton. Meringue and Salsa all have the same percussion beats from song to song. What changes is an melodic toons. If you want to hear a different beat, just listen to another type of music. That said, all rap is boring to me. That's why I listen to rock.
I like it, I am from somewhere in South America (I don't want to say from where) and I love it!, specially the lyrics, there is a lot of it that is good, some of the beats are good too, they are not all the same...

I am sure you're not alone, but I disagree. I do think that mainstream reggaeton is pretty crappy, but the old school & underground stuff is <3<3.
My problem is the people who listen to it. It's like Latin American hood rat music.
I like it at first but then it gets annoying kinda like when I listen to kpop or music that just came out now like in the 2010s
i never really got into it until recently. I like it but I can't speak spanish and don't know 98% of what they're saying. but I'm a dancehall fan so I like reggaeton it kinda sounds like it

I don't like it, but if they are playing them at a party, I don't care... cause man... girls get nasty when they dance to reggaeton. but like I said ,to listen to... no, to dance to yes.
