Do you feel happy on your birthdays when you get older?

I am now recently 31 the people i care about have moved to a different city or live in a different state and lately every year sense i was 20 i started to steadily care less and less about my birthday. I just got to know are birthdays still special when you make them special or... Am i just lonely?

Well, when people leave you behind, that kind of change is difficult. Get out there and live. It's what I'm doing and I'm more than twice your age. Make friends of all ages who are nearby and a few who aren't.

Get your hobbies and what you care about championing in line. Keep busy with that and work on career moves. What excites you about work. If it's TOO boring, maybe you should train for something else if you have the time and are unattached. Make or break time.

last time I really celebrated my birthday... I was 9 or 10 years old

I am very happy about that... I very much prefer to keep it low key and quiet about it... I don't mind to get older at all, I just grew up extremely shy so... being the center of all attention like that, was something that I never really enjoyed, lol

I'm largely indifferent to my birthdays. Although they will always be tinged with sadness.

However, now a big one is coming up. This one, is quite tough. It's shining a light on everything I've done in my life.

At this point in my life i use my birthday as an excuse to splurge an reward myself for living this long lol
