I get it all the time. And they usually are surprised and think I’m a good ten years younger, which is reassuring. But the downside is that it’s starting to get acknowledged that my actual age IS kinda old at this point. That’s depressing, lmao. Happy not to look my age, but it’s still not great to BE my age🤦♂️😂 And it’s kind of disqualifying. I’m not really out here looking where it would matter in reality, but it’s still a kick in the junk if a gal tells you that you look good, but you’d still be too old for her. Like I’ve had girls flirt with me, ask my age, and then upon me telling them, they go “OH…. NEVER MIND.”😂
Being told that you’re “too old” to be considered for this or that, not just dating, is a blow that never softens, and I imagine only gets worse, haha.
Usually people assume I'm a teenager, the most common guesses are age 15 and 16, and they act startled and confused (and initially think I'm joking) when I tell them thats less than half of my actual age. On rare occassion someone guesses as old as early 20s, or as young as 12.
Yes I answer honestly, and It doesn't bother me that I get asked, but the assumption bothers me (but only because the women who hit on me are typically teens because of it), if I were already taken, I wouldn't care what people assume about my age.
I am an open book. I tell people my age, my weight, my height.
My salary is public information … so anyone can find out… I don’t know what’s wrong with me when all others don’t like to talk about these.
Friends I get but just openly discussing these things with strangers aka non friends and non family may seem like a lack of boundaries.
I’m very open. I talk to strangers and have no problem telling them my age. Etc…
I am a strange one…
Such that u met and married my hubby on gag…
I also met over 8 gaggers irl so yeah…
You my friend are how and why women end up in ted bundy situations. You're supposed to get wiser with age. You seem to be coming from a place of lonliness, lack and desperation.
What’s a Ted bundy situation?
Oh just googled 😂
I don’t give any other personal info … no worries…
You think I’m desperate for attention? Hahahaa… you don’t know me…
Oh… I met my hubby here in gag … want to say hi to him? We met 2016… 😊 happily married 4-5 years now. See told you I’m an open book 😂
A lot. I'll tell my age with no problem and majority of the time people are shocked because I look younger than my age and I'm okay with people saying that. I take it as a compliment😊
Yeah you look way younger than 28. I thought you were 16🤣
Thanks Lol🤣 some people think I look 15.
Yeah I was think 15/16 lol

I don't find it rude but I might find it weird unless there is some reason why they're asking.
Whether or not I will answer them depends on the context. If it's for some legitimate official purpose of course I will answer. If it's someone I am comfortable talking with and there is a reason they are asking of course I will answer. If it's some stranger then I probably would not answer because that's personal information I wouldn't want them to have not because I am embarrassed about it or any other reason.
I would either answer or not answer, I don't feel any reason to answer incorrectly so I can't imagine a scenario where I would do that.
I guess some people are ashamed of their age for whatever reason. But I've never had any feelings like that.
I never understood why women get so offended by that question. Like, I'd understand if it was asked in a condescending way with the intention to insult you, but if it's clearly not with those intentions, then why would it bother you? We all age. Everyone will get old one day and go through the same things other older people go through. Why make a big deal about that?
I've never had an issue stating my age to others.
Most women are petty and insecure so they like to keep tabs on a woman's age to one up them especially if they're insecure and intimidated by them. Men don't have this problem as men are more respected with age, acquire money and status. At a certain age woman are expected to be married and have kids. Men are more envious of the wealth a man Acquires while women are more envious of another woman's age and looks
I do want more money than I have for sure, but I think the desire for wealth comes simply from the desire for a better standard of living, not due to jealousy of others. If others are wealthy, I'm just happy for their success. I'm not jealous of them. I tell people I'm broke, the same way I'd never be ashamed of telling people my age no matter how old I am.
So I really don't think all of even most men are envious of other mens wealth.
Not all may have this intention. Some are just trying to see if you both have something in common to be friends. You just have to be able to gauge that because women are very good at masking.
I don’t understand why they feel like it’s important for them to know. I also feel like this is a rude question to ask an adult.
I agree, I think it's rude and I usually ask why. When I ask that they pause and they're like oh I just wanted to know. Okay? Are you planning on buying me a birthday gift or celebrating my birthday? Are we friends or family? I feel only the important people matter and should know for celebrating purposes other than that none of your business or if you're dating it's appropriate
I get asked by women all the time. I have a standard response that shuts them up every time. Dead silence afterward. I've never had a woman come back with any comment. But you have to be able to deliver it without stumbling or hesitation while staring them in the eye.
Oh, and I don't find the question rude. I find it a chance to have some fun.
I just tell people the truth, then ask theirs. I don't really care I guess they are just seeing if you all are like the same age or something lol.
I rarely get asked my age. When I do, I usually tell them my real age... unless it's fun to tell them something else and then see their reaction. 😎
I'm asked often bc I apparently don't look my age. I'll answer unless there's something like a possible chance of something nefarious like identity theft.
What's rude about asking for someone's age? Would be weird if you trying to date someone that is younger but not asking her age wether to see if she is a minor or not
Does"especially a co-worker or stranger". I don't recall mentioning it being rude when dating. Did i?
I rarely get asked this question. Actually, I don't even remember when was the last time someone asked me 🤣
I don't mind it tho, I answer it honestly.
I'll tell anyone my age It's just a number and I don't thanks Rude
I'm fifty-nine going on sixty on June 18th.
I very rarely get asked, but if I do, I tell them. I don't care, and I don't find it rude.
''They'' not longer ask. But when my correct age comes into play, I usually see surprised faces.
I then see it as a compliment.
Get asked all the time, don't mind. Some reactions are quite entertaining.
I tell them, I wish I got IDed when buying alcohol tho
🤣 lol
They always assume I'm younger so no it's not offensive. I'd be offended if they thought I was older than my age because then that means you're aging like milk instead of fine wine. 😎
No one asks my age at school but people do ask what year I am
I find it silly when people get upset over a question like this
I either make them guess or just tell them lol
They never get it right and their reactions are worth it 😂
I don't care why they ask and if they're REALLY interested they'll probably let me know why.
I get asked sometimes when a client who has only spoken with me on the phone meets me in person.
Nope I don't mind it at all. What is so rude about some asking your age? smh People are getting weirder and weirder!!!
Depends on the environment. There is age discrimination
I am often asked. I tend to have them guess first. Pretty much everyone’s guess is way off.
I do not get asked a lot but do not care if they do ask
Not really, and I don’t have any problem telling them my age since they usually think I’m younger
I look younger than my age so I don't care if they ask
It's fine, honestly I don't care, it doesn't reflect badly on me
I don’t know why anyone would find someone asking how old you are to be rude
I don't mind and would tell them
No I never mind people asking me for my age.
Yeah i don't mind. I tell them the truth.
I tell them I'm 31 - it's no biggie 😆🙃
I just answer honestly. <3
Sometimes. People usually think I'm younger
Do you tell people your true age or do you lie for fun?🤣 you could pass for 23
Yeah sure ask
I'm married lol
Looking forward to the round number of 80.
They are just curious. No harm
Never am pretty honest about it
Nobody asked me.
I don't mind them.
I tell straight out
