I ordered a car I’ve been wanting for a long time, it will be a few weeks before it’s ready, but I’m having second thoughts.
I have no debt and a cheap living situation, but a hefty down payment will deplete over half of my savings and my car and insurance payments will make my money pretty tight.
It will be doable, but I’m worried that it will ruin future opportunities. It’s a lot of money to part with so suddenly. I’m aware of how dumb this is lol, but again it’s an opportunity that I feel like I will only get this one time, at this point in life… and I suppose that I could always sell it if it’s not working out.
Still, this is tough.

You can't afford this car. Get an older used model that you can afford.
Thanks for the comment, as much as I know this, I could easily stretch a bit to make it happen. I’m on the fence.
And suppose you have some unexpected expense? I don't know what you are looking at, but you can have almost as much fun with the same model five years old, and you won't be worrying about money every day. I would love to drive a new BMW, but if I decide to get another, I'll be buying a paddle shifter 10 or 15 years old to take to the track.
by the way, what kind of financing are you getting? What's the interest rate?
You live only once go for your dream car
Appreciate the comment bro, that saying has been playing through my mind a lot actually.
Get your dream car live the life you want to. No judgements just sheer pleasure. Do whatever the fuck makes you happy
