Please don't tell me that I'm the only person who shops online and receives two and sometimes 3 when I only order one item? Anyone else?

This happens to me all the time and I am sick of it!! It must be a new scam because I only order one item of something and two or three are delivered!
It happened again today. I bought one pair of sandals and two of the exact same sandals were delivered.
Last week I tried to cancel a handbag that I ordered and not only would the outside seller for Wallymart not cancel my item but then he said that I ordered THREE and he wouldn't cancel any of them!!
I think that sellers are doing this to make more money!! It's a scam.
eBay, and Wallymart both are doing this.

I found out how it happens. The company doesn't reset back to zero after it is purchased. It starts at 1, then you put your item in your cart, which equals 2 - or 3 if it starts out with 2 already in your cart. 🤬🤬🤬

I got two recliners and I only ordered one. I waited a week and brought it back to the store. They would not gave me the cash but I got a store credit.

Isn't that the weirdest feeling when something like that happens?
A store credit huh? That's another trap because now they got away with getting your money and you had no recourse. The creeps should have just given YOUR money 🤑 back!

Knock on wood it hasn’t happened & being that it is happening to you I think you should report it because if that seller is scamming you I’m sure they are scamming other people too. What you can do is if you order from that joker in the future pay for it with a gift card that you can preload with the exact amount so if they try to send you more they will be sending them for free in which I don’t think they will do.

I buy often online and never heard of this.

I always look at the total after I place an order and if there is an error, I immediately cancel. But I have never seen that kind of error.

I have never had a similar experience. I order, pay and get what I paid for.

I did have a couple of sellers send me a free item, but that was on Ebay. That's different, it's a gesture of a private seller towards the buyer.

I have never had this issue. I ordered 2 ball joints for my ATV online a few weeks ago. Only got two. They were $89.99 at the local dealer. I got them for about $28 apiece on line. Then again I don't order online to often.
