I really don't care for mine. In fact I don't know how my parents even came up with my real name.🤷🏼‍♀️ My mom rarely called me by my birth name. She would always call me Sherry. So I asked her why she didn't just name me Sherry. She didn't have an answer. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes. I actually have three names, it's quite common in my home country. All of them are names that have been around in the family for many generations. In my case, I bear the names of two grandfathers and my father.

It's a habit we wanted to perpetuate, so my daughter bears one of the names of my great-grandmother.

@sage2021 No, I went to Superior Court and legally changed my birth name from Virgil Bruce... to... Bruce Alan... Taking my birth Middle name "Bruce" and making it my first name, and then adding 'Alan' as my middle name..

My mother wanted to name me Bruce Alan... but I goofy father wanted me named after him...'Virgil Bruce. Mother suggested I wait until my father died to change the name, and I did
