I use to like my name until Bill Clinton Monica Lewinsky scandals.

I didn't like the diminutive form of my name as a child because there was a tv show that had a theme song that incorporated that name and it was popular and so anytime anyone saw that they sang it to me in a taunting manner. I became infuriated with the name and insisted people not call me by that name. Finally they stopped but not until the show went off the air.

I still cringe on the rare occasions when people call me by that name. I think I can relate on some level. Do you have a middle name you prefer to be called by? My grandfather hated his first name and insisted people call him by his middle name for similar reasons.

I like my name. But I always wanted to try out other names to. Like maybe something off the wall for a man to have.

Like a man named Lisa, June, April, Beth, Missy or whatever. Just to see what kind of looks I would get. When I tell them my name is Lisa

No, I don't. I hate my name, it's very common where I live, it doesn't match my personality and it's an old name. I can understand why you don't like yours.

I like my name, but one thing that used to annoy me about it, is that it is the most popular name in my age group in my country, so in school I always had 2 or 3 boys, who also had that name. And if the teacher called me by my name, I didn't know if he thought about me, or one of my friends. But beside this, my name is awesome.

No, I never did. I would've rather had Rich or Scott. I'm not even sure I'd like Rich. Maybe Bill, but I've already got a cousin, Bill with the same last name. However, my dad, brother and another cousin all have the same names.
