My complaint about mine is that my parents named me one thing, but then called me only by my middle name for my whole life.

So since I got more used to that, I legally turned my middle name into my first name so everyone would be calling me the same thing.

But getting everyone on the same page is still a process because though my name is different legally, I still have to get it changed everywhere I've ever been, which is taking forever.

I wish my parents would have just made my first name the same thing that they wanted to call me.

I don't want to say exactly what my name (middle one anyway) is, but the name that everyone calls me, is legally my middle name.

In my culture (I think) the first name is like a title.

Unfortunately, most of my brothers also have the same first name, which makes it incredibly confusing when we get a letter posted to our house, because it only states our first and last name and since most of us all have the same first name, yeah.

Plus, I don't like my middle nane either and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be spelt like that either and the same for my last name.

I feel like it depends on who calls me what. Fortunately my name has a number of different variations which is refreshing. But yeah it stinks to be in that position. My last name is actally my mom's and my dad and all his family have been on a mission to rightfully change my last name to his. But I've only ever known my last name so it's difficult...

I am pretty used to it. It's kind of frustrating, it's been my dad's and his families crusade and goal. Oddly enough, not taking my dad's name and my mom having out of wedlock after a prior marriage... I'm a black sheep in both families :)

Yeah appart from my 2nd name would sound daft in japan since they say 2nd names first. Plus my name is common.

parents need to think or more original names and ones were first and 2nd names make perfect sense when only called by one or the other.
But meh i am changing my name anyway.

It doesnot work like that once you become that person it's fixed calling by surname in college and school by teachers and professors was like respect but friends and other people call it feels kinda different almost embaressing 😂lol

Growing up I didn’t because there were always at least 2-3 other girls in my grade with the same name. I grew to like it because I have a very unique spelling and I can have at least 4-5 nicknames from my name alone if I ever got bored of it.
