Yesterday I found out why so many of things I bought online weren't delivered to me. It's because the couriers were leaving them in the lobby. Why?

Why wouldn't the courier's deliver my packages to my front door as addressed on the package? They are leaving them on the wide open front desk of my apartment building when no one was at the front desk, so people have been stealing almost everything that I have purchased for over a year.
When we order merchandise online the customer doesn't know what courier is going to be used to deliver it to us. Therefore I cannot instruct them to deliver it to my front door.
My heart sunk when I found out that Wallymart was marking my merchandise to be delivered to the reception area, not my front door.
I have had to pay for merchandise that I never received because of this.
If I lived in a house 🏡 this wouldn't have happened.
I am just sick over this because all my money I spent on things that I ordered my neighbors are enjoying and NOT ME!!😔

That really sucks. I really do not know the answer to this. You can go after the courier (UPS?) and maybe they will reimburse you or maybe Walmart will do something. This would be in their best interest. If there is a pattern of the "buy online" model that shows customers getting ripped off a lot of people will start shopping in stores again.

Outside sellers of Wallymart as well as eBay choose their own courier. It's rarely UPS anymore.
I don't think people who live in apartment buildings are aware that this is what is happening. It's been going on with me for over a year and I just found out yesterday that Wallymart chooses where the package will be delivered to.
They have four boxes and they (not me) check ✔️ the box for me and they check "Deliver packages to the lobby/front desk/ reception area.
The first box they could check is the front door of the address.

I did send an email to the property manager asking her to post a sign for the delivery people not to deliver or leave any packages at the front desk. Deliver them to the residents apartments.
She even told me that they don't accept deliveries because they don't have any room for them at the front desk.
We shall see if she is proactive by putting up the sign I requested for her to put at the front desk.
Yeah, my neighbors and the maintenance guys who work here are all a bunch of thieves!! They get to enjoy the things that I paid for and all I got was a T-shirt that said "I got screwed by my neighbors". 😡

I just found out yesterday that this is happening.
There's no way I could get in touch with so many people to locate which carrier they used to deliver my package.
This has been going on for more than a year and it's a lot of packages.
I did inform the front desk not to accept any packages for me at the front desk but the manager said they put them there while they are at lunch so they can't control it - which is a bold face lie!! They've been accepting my packages and not giving them to me.
The employees who work in my apartment building are a bunch of low down thieves!! They know what they're doing!!

I know amazon can ship to lockers nearby your place. That might be an option.

Are these the lockers at the post office 🏤? Because our building doesn't have one of those places where there are bins for the residents packages?

No. Amazon lockers are at regular retail stores. Ross has them. Some gas stations have them. I seen them at grocery stores

That's a bit shit. We have a system here that only delivers to doors or to agents where they can be collected from that tend to be small shops or even digital postal boxes.

Insurance should cover the losses and the courier firms should be telling you when they're delivering since the whole theft of goods is way too easy to carry out with that level of poor service.

Why would you keep ordering things? The moment my first package got stolen. I started using my mom's address and never had a problem after... they do that here at my apartment complex too. My neighbor leaves a big note for the workers to call her when her package arrives. Sorry that happened to you

If you live in a house the courier just throws it by the front door. I work 7 till 5. If I'm not home it could just as easily & many times does disappear to porch bandits that follow the courier guy around & steal those parcels.
