Where is society going?

Is it me or is society going to crap? Example. We as people only have 2 genders male or female. We don't have 4,5,6. It's only 2. Culture is turning for the worst. Since I'm 51 I see it changing and people in general are all wimps. Shame on us. Does anyone agree or not?

Is it you? Yes, but you're not alone thinking that. Whereas for others, like me, "society" is going the right way, but my society isn't the same society that you're looking at. Because you have a personal view, not only about what society is, but also where it should go, so the question itself is biased in the first place.

Also, I'm convinced that if we could ask zillions of people who ever lived, let's say for the last 8.000 years, then we would hear a lot of them attacking the times they lived in, on moral grounds, unhappy of the future of their society, because change isn't easy to live with

I've been asking my wife to move to small town. Tired of the big city bs. All the Karen's around town. Few of my employees are in there 20s. Always complaining. These kids have no idea how society works.

I blame religion and other superstitious clap trap that people have used to control the behaviour of the ignorant for their own benefit.

Parents let the kids do what ever they want. My mom slapped me few times when younger. I doubt parents do that now.

It was mainly my dad, not often but we had corporal punishment when I was at school. The tawse was a thing of beauty until it was slapped down on your palm by Mr Scott lol.

It was more the trauma of the way he spoke to you and made you realise he was right and you'd fucked up so had to pay the consequences

I don't know I think it's going different to what older folk are used to and it's way less traditionally accepting than how it's been. I only say this as someone who's at the heartbeat of those changes but it's not like I could know what you know through experience.
