Looks almost like an injection without its needle. I don't really know what the purpose of it is but that reminds me of those injections you get when you go to the dentist or in a hospital.

If it is part of a show, then I don't know what kind of show that is. Are the red dots the level of whatever is contained in those injections?

It does not inspire me confidence and I will avoid getting too close to one of them in the future. That looks nasty. I can just imagine the size of the needle that comes with that thing.
