They have really made this song their own and not just a copy of Derek and the Dominoes. I like how they let the keyboards take a bigger role in the instrumental part. Your friend is also very talented.

This was one of my go to songs during all nite car rides so this brings back a lot of memories.

Clapton's politics are horrible - he's a racist in general - but his musical skills are a different matter. I was unaware he is an anti-semite, but I really do not care about that.

is he though? when so many people can play the same way? at least nowadays they can. maybe not back when he came out. but my 16 year old friends were very good and it was a hobby. i guess one used it for his career...

i tried learning but i didn't have the patience. i went through the learning books in a few hours. i wasn't going to buy 1 book to learn the equivalent of a few notes. i did try to get a cd-rom to teach me, but the guys at the store were jackasses and no help. so i have a really expensive program for guitars because they wouldn't take the return. i said, ok, that's the universe telling me to not do it anymore.

i am far past due on patience. not even close to being fresh out..

but i don't think my fingers were made for playing. and strumming? i am too ocd to not make sure i'm hitting every string! it was like putting shoes on a dog. it's a little funny and then you feel really sorry for them.
