As for lighting up your room rolling with the second lamp is the way to go. As for the first I wouldn’t consider it a lamp I would consider it more of a desk light rather than a lamp. As for the second I think it would go better with your television & there will be less of a glare with the lampshade.
So use the lampshade?
Definitely on the lampshade bro & if you have a guest over that you really like you can put a smaller wattage light bulb in the lamp & set the mood if you know what I mean.
What about the digital one?
The digital one is cool too & I would keep that one in your room as well. Just not by your tv because the digital could be a destruction while watching television.

Whichever lights up your life more. That would be the first, by the way. The second (or bottom) lamp doesn’t seem to be working. It also looks ancient. You might be able to sell it to an antique store to find the electricity for the first one.
