Mmmm... The last three compliments I received recently was on my heart, my personality and looks.

The last 3 offensive things? I remember the last 3 criticisms from my friends very well because I gave them the right to let me know my bad habits so I could work on myself but I don't find any of those things offensive.

I sure have received more than few offensive comments and it hurt and made me mad but after few days I couldn't remember the exact words I guess I only care to remember the constructive criticism (in detail) but I think the offensive comments were about my intention, my efforts and also my looks.

So, in my case I'd remember positive comments but also remember constructive criticism a bit as I strive to be my best version but I don't fixate on offensive comments.

But I agree with you. Most people subconsciously pay more attention to negativity than positive. I've got some people like that in my life. I keep trying to motivate them 😬

I guess I watch too much tv since you never even heard of the movie while I've seen that movie and also seen some 40 year old movies and still remember them🤣 which is interesting considering I don't even remember what day is it, birthdays, people's faces, food I had yesterday or even directions... but I remember all this not so important stuff even if I don't like some movies, lol. My brain does stuff that makes no sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, it shall not be easy to drag something from unconscious levels to conscious levels, and that is assuming that these unconscious levels of consciousness exist. That is also assuming that consciousness exists at all. A thing that is not really observable, yet we probably all believe in it? End of digression.

The last 3 compliments are probably from my girlfriend, so it's rather on the too personal side for me. And the last 3 negative remarks? I can't think of any at the moment lol.

See, here is what I think also, negative remarks will hit harder if they target a vulnerable point within us. So there would be no objectively negative remark, instead there would be how we take it, from whom, in what moment and depending on the intensity level of negativity we have to face inside us. All of this being totally immeasurable because someone's mind is immeasurable to me, until proven otherwise?

It's a proven thing so yes. A survival trait in theory. However it's also an average way to think so it can be a hindrance, and shows what I would put in more profound words but can't be bother so stupidity.

You'll get into that topper's sections (basically in Indian education system, grades are divided into bunch of sections. Like in our school 12th grade has 17 sections/classrooms/homeroom. And it is sometimes divided according to your academic achievements, depending upon the school. We have a toppers batch in our school from where all the state toppers and high scorers or ivy league kids come out and apparently my teachers think I'll be upgraded to that section after our mid term exams)

You actually make me serious for studies better than my mom.

Basically I have been eating (yes eating) instant coffee powder at night to stay awake so I could study but I kind of built a resistance against that so it didn't work. Then I decided to just use a blade to cut myself when I felt sleepy at night so the pain will shock me and wake me up. And also to punish myself for not scoring full in all subjects. Now I stopped doing all that, my friends helped me. And I'm using caffiene mints and pouches now.

Your brain works so strangely I'm not gonna lie how do you go from eating coffee powder to filleting yourself as a solution to stay awake, I'm glad you stopped, you ever thought on just making yourself a cup of coffee tho 😂

See, milk coffee is something I drink when I want to actually drink coffee, not when I need caffeine. And black coffee is fine but still not that effective. And both of these need time to prepare and I can't afford the risk of shuffling things in kitchen at 1 am when everyone's sleeping at my home.

If you put coffee powder under your tongue, and close your eyes for a while and kind of rest, then after 10 minutes you'll feel this sudden jolt of energy. But after some time I grew resistance against that too. So I increased my intake from 1 tablespoon to 2. And again grew resistance against it. When I tried consuming that 3rd tablespoon, I immediately vommited it out.
On top of that having so much coffee sometimes made me pass out during school and just attracted unnecessary attention.

Now I used to self harm before too, back in 2023. Then I stopped. Actually when I was feeling sleepy while studying I saw my sharpener and was like why don't I use this to keep myself awake, so I unscrewed it to get the blade and started using it.

That's such an odd way to consume coffee, but either ways it's good you stopped cutting, and destroying sharpeners lol

I think it also makes you crash after a while, that's the thing with caffeine tho

Yeah, if I eat coffee at 1 am then I feel sleepy by 7 am but I take a nice cold shower and head to school and I don't feel sleepy at school because it's simulating and my friends keep my dopamine high.

People just gravitate to negative things more than positive because it's easier to accept negative things than positive ones. I think there are a lot more pessimists in this world than optimists.
