Technically if you're gonna encourage reckless binge-drinking then yes, there should be a bathroom on the level of the bar. However also folks should be smart enough to know not to drink past their limits... ALSO, bartenders need to be more aware of THE LAW, which states that you shouldn't ethically serve someone who is visibly intoxicated.

It is her fault for being drunk while walking down a flight of steps. However, the club knows their patrons are going to be drunk so they bare the task of putting the restrooms on the main floor to prevent these kinds of incidents from taking place.

Drunks and stairs is a huge liability. Drunk women walking up and down stairs wearing high heels is even worse. If I ever own a bar, there's going to be a strict "no high heels" policy.

I am not saying that it is not her fault. I am saying nightclubs know that people are going to be blasted drunk up inside their establishment. Therefore, they should put all restrooms on the main floor to prevent these kinds of fatal accidents from taking place.

I can see your point, and I don't necessarily disagree, but there should also be a limit to how much a business should babysit people, too.

Theoretically, a patron could just as easily stumble in the bathroom, and crack their head on a sink, or toilet, even if the restroom were on the ground floor. It wouldn't be the fault of the business for not providing protective headgear.

Hell, they could pass out while throwing up in the toilet, and drown, too, but the club would not be responsible for failing to provide a snorkel.

Obviously, I'm exaggerating that second example in order to make a point, but it shouldn't be the business's responsibility to protect a drunken moron from something as simple as a set of stairs. I assume there was a handrail, so if a patron chooses to imbibe to that point, then there should be some personal responsibility.
