What are your thoughts of the name "Carl"?

It's a fine name actually but this is something I've noticed since I was a kid. A lot of nerdy/big glasses characters are always named "Carl" which makes me think of nerds whenever I hear that name. And coincidentally, I also had a schoolmate "Carl" who's also nerdy. It kind of poisoned my mind and you have noticed that too. I mean they're just the popular "Carl's" I grew up with. I don't know about you tho.

I view the name Carl as a highly asexual male name that you might give to a man, who isn't romantically attractive, either due to age difference, physical contours, or an overly depersonalized verbal or behavioural habit when you talk to them. Because in bible semantics, the hard "K" sound deals with observable wisdom while the "L" sound deals with socially designated blamelessness, together, it just generates a feeling of excessive alienation and emotional inactivity and lack of personal responsiveness to others. Media professionals know there are psychological associations generated with different phonemes and phonetic combinations which is why some names or sound combinations are far more common among billionaire businesses that can afford to purchase the rights to any name they want to promote their brand.

It's based on an old Norse word meaning "man" that similarity continues through old German and hence English. In other words it's always been this non descript generic name without any deep meaning behind it. Carl is virtually the equivalent of Anon. We've unknowingly carried on the tradition of using it as a name for unimportant background characters.
