Ignoring the background and only looking at the lake itself, there is not much difference between the two. Although the second one looks a bit more accessible.

The bottom photo is in my opinion better, but that plays into lighting, location the photo was taken, and perspective. I have a hunch that both lakes are pretty and have intrinsic value.
