It puts a smile on my face to hear the vicarious joy of others - a new car, a new home, a new job - hell, you won the lottery even if it was just a profit of 5 extra bucks winnings - or even that you've scored a girlfriend or boyfriend - or you finally bought that slice of cake because it was in stock at the cafe that day finally before the morning rush ☀️ 🍰

2025 has been a mixed bag. I came in to the new year with the mindset of “this year is gonna be my year!”, well, it hasn’t gone that way but it’s had some big ups and downs. My ex & I broke up after 4 years together, we’ve been navigating coparenting our toddler. Then I found out I was pregnant again to him a week after we broke up. So thats been exciting! He is excited too. But then we’ve had a scare with the baby possibly having a heart defect, which I’m travelling to a specialist next week to have a scan to see the heart better and see how bad it is.
I almost had to drop out of studying my degree because I was fired from my placement. But just in time, I found a new placement which has been greater than the previous one. I only have 8 more weeks to go before I’ve completed my study!
My cat is getting euthanised in 2 weeks time because she has gotten really sick again and medication isn’t the answer anymore, so that’s sad.
My toddler started daycare a few weeks ago and it’s going really well and giving me more time to rest while im pregnant. Chasing after a toddler is tiring!


So yeah, it’s been a mixed bag. Good and bad. But I still have a good outlook on the rest of the year and im excited to complete my study and have my 2nd (and final) baby just in time for Christmas 😄
