Since becoming much more active on the internet lately I have come across many such "Missattributed quotes." It just makes me wonder if I can believe anything, anywhere from anyone these days?

All this information available at my fingertips, a whole box of knowledge, but how much is real? How much can be trusted? How, why and when did honesty become so intertwined with deceit?

It almost makes me want to unplug it all and just go outside to my own little world I know as reality. It's peaceful there, except for my evil, middle sister and, you know, I might miss something on G@G or something.

I asked a question or maybe answered a question but there is something wrong with how we plays these games but there is no pay out there are so many things on the internet that people are businesses. Companies will tell you something. And then they do not follow through , and who holds them responsible.

and it goes deeper than that.
But there were people on here giving me crap and it goes one ear and out the other not a big deal. Because I new the things they were trying to tell me were wrong but now I have found out who owns the internet start of it and it is about 45 businesses.
It's in partnership with it. It's the secret society people. Rule the world that rule our government, they own the internet. So no wonder why people get away with b******* on here? And why everything is to program us

Use Wikiquotes ( https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Main_Page ). They have an excellent collection of confirmed, attributed and misattributed quotes plus their original sources.

Yeah a lot of them aren't even misattributed. They're just made up entirely. Can't assume anyone said anything unless you've literally read their work or a document they made.

For me, I tend to just save whatever quotes I like. I don't really care about who said them. If they sounded intelligent or wise, or even funny and true, I save them.

@RandomGirl42 I used to go by the Trust But Verify approach to information. Now i try to find multiple sources. It is even better if I know an eyewitness like this incident.
