Probably that the education system is needed to help you learn and get skilled enough for your job. Its true to some extent, they did teach me to read and write and the basics of math of course. But its absolutely not the best way to go about it and it needs to be replaced.

Way to many useless subjects I don't even remember. Like geography, who cares how logistics at an airport work if your not going to work in logistics? I remember that was one of the things we were thought but I don't remember at all how it works. Or chemistry, a subject I have absolutely no use for and remember nothing about.

But its the whole concept behind it, you think your actually learning stuff while in reality they are performing literal brain washing techniques on you. I was unaware at the time that that was what was happening. But, the education system failed me big time. I got punished for subjects I was bad at, and denied education on my level for what I was good at as a result. Because of that everything I actually do in my job other than the language and calculations I thought myself, and I knew more about it than the teachers did.

Having such a bad experience with it made me think of ways to improve it. Initially in small steps like decoupling the skill level of the subjects so that your automatically on your level in all of them. I thought that to my former mentor and he was excited. Eventually the school did a pilot with it because he told a government official who then claimed credit. The pilot got an extremely interesting result. Half the teachers hated the idea and refused to teach that class (funnily enough the ones I hated), the other half saw amazing results with them. There is a little bias in there given they only had the good teachers. But the system did its designed effect. Students weren't frustrated or nearly as bored in the classes as the subjects were consistently challenging / managable enough for them. They didn't have to stress so much about the bad subjects. And because of all these factors bullying and disobedience went way down because they were much less frustrated. It was the best performing class in the history of that school, but because the regular system isn't compatible with it the class got disbanded after the pilot ended and they had to be reintroduced to the regular system.

But thats when I wasn't thinking out of the box yet. Now I want to replace classical education outright with a more dynamic system. Imagine when you learn what you need when you need it in a way that fits you. The ebay of ideas. You go to that site to find a job, the job lists the skills you need. You can click on the skills to see where you can obtain them and everything else is dynamic. For things where you do need classical education you can then just go back into the old system trough the same site. They can exist side by side. But if you abolish degrees in favor of testing job candidates during the interview it means people can save all this education money, get skilled in a very specialized way and then find a job that requires those unique skills. It will solve so much discrimination to since it will be obvious who the best candidate is when not everyone is the same mediocre person by the end of their education path.

Because lets face it, and this was the biggest eye opening for me. You spent your entire youth wasting your time learning for the job market. And when you then finish your entire life up to that point learning, what do you get? Are you now an expert in your field? No, you are not fit for an entry level position as you have to learn and get experience on the job.

So the whole fact you got to school for 20 years to become capable of doing your job is the biggest lie I have ever been told. But unfortunately there is also truth to it as long as company's keep requiring degrees. That culture really needs to change. Had I been able to learn on my own i'd have been an IT expert at age 14.

This is a stupid one, but I've unconsciously held on to it for life. My dad once told me that it's illegal to drive with the interior light on. Any time my parents would turn it on while driving, I'd flip out that the cops were going to get them. Now as an adult, I still flip out when I need to turn it on... I know it's definitely not illegal, but there's that "what if" in the back of my mind 👀

I dont or can't even remember. I get lied to all the time and I that moment they lie I know the truth. I won't say anything I let it go but I won't ever see that person again they might try to call me but I won't answer they made a choice but there has been a few times someone has lied to me and I let it go because they were trying to be loyal to someone and I new it and they would call me and say hey I would say I already know dont even say anything and I would say, I appreciate the phone call, though. Just drop it

The truth they don’t tell you growing up is that sometimes you can do everything perfectly and STILL lose in end.
Suffer for it even.

That dogs are man's best friend. Over 12,000 people are attacked by a dog EVERY DAY in the United States (4.5 million a year reported, many go unreported for fear of the creature being put down) Many attacks are unprovoked and from the family dog thats well taken care of and everyone thought it loved them to. oh there's some big ones... the most painful so far was being lied to at work. But I figured it all out. You cannot expect a narcissistic psycho to be truthful.

As well, the adversary is a liar from the beginning, expect many lies.

A lie that we tend to tell ourselves is that "things always happen for a reason." While it's literally true with respect to cause and effect, we tend to overlook the influences of confirmation bias and forget that such a sentiment involves the concept of Predestination (As seen with early Reformation theologians like Calvin and Zwingli) and implies that we do not have free will.
