All three of my cars are sporting snow tires at the moment. Every November through March actually. As for the rest of the idiots here, they have AWD... and bald all season tires.

Sorry dude, I understand the confusion but I wasn't talking about you: I was talking about the guy revving his engine like a maniac as if it was going to accomplish something, in the video you've posted.

I kind of realize now that no one probably needs to buy snow tires in the southern United States. I'm under the impression that it never really snows any further south than Virginia, but I've never traveled through the US during the winter, so I don't really know. Can't blame really that guy in the video for not having any: only for the fact that he doesn't seem to understand why his tires have no grip! 😄

Oh no, Texas gets snow and even worse, freezing rain. Not consistently but some every year. The cheap ass "no taxes" red state doesn't have any equipment to treat roads or remove snow. And the people there have almost zero experience driving in low traction situations. So stomping on the gas pedal of their V8 pickup truck seems like a great idea to the rednecks. Power solves every problem, right? It doesn't seem to occur to a certain segment of the population to just stay off the roads for 24 hours.
