I arguably saved the lives of many people who would be homeless right now and are instead by court order still in a safe place. I consider that to be a big win, since being homeless here in Los Angeles, where I live, often leads to death, disease, or even worse. I was also able to provide appropriate and healthy care for my cats Angel, Angus, and Allister, all of whom are healthy and happy kitties. I consider their happiness to be as important as my own. I was also able to provide clinical supervision and instruction for my two students who are just beginning their careers and who are doing so much better now than they did in the beginning - they are going to be terrific doctors. I was able to diagnose and prescribe treatment for brain injuries in about 75-100 people. I was able to provide individualized care and hopefully relieve the suffering of about 50 veterans suffering from PTSD as a result of being in terrible wars.
All in all, for me, it's been a really good year.
Wow we have a doctor in the house huh? That's amazing, thank you for taking the time to save so many lives especially our vulnerable population with the veterans who needs more attention & care. Sounds like you have done a great demonstration on how to be a good healthcare provider to your students. LOL how cute, all your cats has As names!
lets see what did i accomplish?
2025: I went to food drives to help out the homeless, i joined a local chapter of DSA (democratic socialists of america), i went to a Bernie Sanders rally by myself in downtown l. a. (got badly sunburned though lol), i went to two of the big no kings protests, i managed to pull myself away from politics for awhile last summer and it has helped me not get too super upset about things like i used to (i had been following it nonstop for like 5 years at that point), i donate to the ACLU and wikipedia. a lot of political stuff last year mainly
This year i got plans too: reading books this month, learning how to solder, getting myself a Roth IRA for retirement, paying off my car, brushing up on my knowledge of world history and im hoping this summer ill finally start writing my books i was telling you about. oh also ill continue to go to speed dating events, got up my irl social skills yo! lol.
lovely handwriting by the way, very classy with a hint of cute haha

@bobalife you're so sweet it makes my heart melt ahhh haha. thank you. these years i been really challenging myself and for the better. i can only hope i can look back at the end of 2026 and feel a sense of accomplishment especially if i manage to make decent progress in those books. by the way im thinking maybe 2 or 3 books max. i got quite a grand story in mind to tell! I'll make sure to share some of it with you :)
Yeah we'll see! i made a question earlier on the main character im heavily considering on having. a middle aged woman. you should check it out :)
More growth than goals.
I focused on becoming clearer, calmer, and more intentional and that often matters more than ticking off achievements.
Real accomplishments arenβt just what you finish, but how you evolve while doing it.
I bought a new bicycle in 2025 . I cycled consistently through out spring and fall.
I competed in a few running events.
I traveled to a different continent.
I taught my neice how to drive.

I got over a short term addiction to alcohol, I healed my liver, I got back on Trikafta, I beat both lung infections would temporarily cut my lung function in half due to me not being on Trikafta due to the alcohol problem.
I changed my negative outlook on life to positive, I took self care and responsibilities more seriously, and I opened myself up to the world. I got back both my will to live, and my longevity by getting back my good lung function, and more.
My lung function was 67% when hospitalized, it's now 121 and I'm no longer a rum soaked puking machine. I'd say 2025 was a year to remember for me
I taught several computer science courses, I completed several home improvement projects, I saved a good amount of money and I scheduled a total hip replacement procedure. It was not a lot of fun but I s=feel good about it.
Probably the best thing is I made it to 2026
