No. I never owned a gaming system and never will.
My first experience with a gaming system was the Atari system in 1981.
The experience was so vastly inferior compared to the arcade machine video games that I was immediately and forever turned off. Furthermore, I saw gaming systems as like buying music on LP, then cassette, then CD, then digitally, etc; it's all a waste because it'll be obsolete and take up landfill space.

So, I was never hooked on gaming systems although I had a roommate in 1994/95 who had one so I played Sonic the Hedgehog a bit. When she left, she took her system and that was fine by me.

That said, I do play games and puzzles on my computer or smartphone, but not the kind usually on a gaming system.

Yep, I used it a lot as a kid, I did blow inside, countless times, supposedly to remove dust on cartridge connectors, as well as inside the grey box itself. Whenever the game didn't load, which was often. It's funny how me and other kids ritualised this dust removal ceremony lol

Yep and I still have it although it's packed up in a closet since I have a retron 5 which let's me just play that and other systems games. Still own a ton of cartridges too. My favorite games for the NES are Bionic Commando and Mega Man 2.

You’re goddamn right I did. I moved out of my parents place and I found out my mom gave it all away to my super rich cousins and to never be seen again.
I was/am still very very pissed about it. I had all the Super Mario games, Duck Hunt with the gun, the running pads, Zelda, etc. I still can’t believe it.


Advise to anyone reading this: never leave things at your parents house if you value them.

Yes, I've owned the NES, the SNES, the N64, the GameCube, the Wii, the Switch, the Switch 2, and the 3DS. I still have an NES or two, but I have no idea if they work; I kinda doubt it.
