Yep, well my dad had one and I played on it a lot as a kid. Usually Kirby and tetris. It obviously had no cover over the battery just a flimsy piece of cardboard taped onto it. I still remember the sound of it slowly losing battery power. Im sure he still has it somewhere...

I did not. i was a child at the time and my parents were pretty strict with how much gaming was allowed. But i definitely played the OG Game Boy. Lots o' fun
