What do you think of this character im thinking of having for my book?

Meet Lucy the Pegasus Rider. she hails from a Queendom with a castle floating in the sky over mountains. they have a series of Queens rather than kings and women are only allowed to fight amongst their ranks. They only except the best of the best and unfortunately Lucy here didn't make the cut. she freezes up when its time to attack someone or show courage in anyway. As a result she was kicked out of their army and shunned by their community. At some point she meets up with my main character and they adventure together. Despite how scared she gets she has many endearing qualities that make you want to root for her. she has a strong sense of justice and her bravery comes out for those in most need of protection. And even though she was kicked out of the army she is still a capable fighter when she manages to pull herself together. It also comes together when things look dire and she has no choice but to act when it comes to saving her friends. so its like she needs that extra criteria in order to get her to act when needed.

So her arc is basically overcoming these fears of her and actually become a fighter not only worthy of being in that elite army but... maybe better than them? ill see as i flesh her out more.

Hmmm it reminds me of fire emblem somewhat, ofc the flying rider helped selling that to me, but also...

I don't know there's something very Japanese style in her backstory, this matriarchal fantasy approach, she could be a character from a realm in the world of Suikoden or fire emblem.

And this notion of being not enough, even outcast, but persisting in joining an honourable institution, that sends a very very j-rpg vibe too

I didn’t know you were working on this book of magnificent characters and creatures of the Greek variety.

I don't know about her and the story, although I’m open minded to the ideas cooking in your brain.

Yeah its fantasy and a lot of fantasy itself derives from the old mythologies so yeah
