I love history, but not in books. I like seeing historical videos or listen to someone talk about it. The remember dates part sucks the most but apart from that I really love history.
Ill be watching documentaries too :)
One, thing I like about videos is they often times dive deeper into history that you wouldn't know by reading about it in a book.
@LazloValenka yeah and they're more engaging too! I remember more by videos than just texts in case of history.
I absolutely love it. I am reading a history book at the moment on Roman Britain.
ohh nice. people probably forget the roman empire extended that far north
Yes I think so too!!
Thank you!

I do like it, but contextually only.
I mean I don't enjoy History for itself, I only enjoy it when I can connect it to another idea, most likely a societal one, or economy, or culture. For instance, I'm interested in slavery during Roman empire because I'm connecting it to unpaid labour allowing a selected few to come up with many ideas we're still using now, like philosophy.
I used to and sometimes still like reading about Greece and Rome history because I love the Greek and Roman mythology but I have mostly been into reading about philosophy lately.
You are probably a well read person im guessing :)
Thanks ๐. I think I'm ok. I used to read a lot more than I do now.
I've read more than a few articles but I prefer a historical documentary. I quite like places with a long history, there's something about walking where people have walked for hundreds of years and seeing what they experienced.
It depends on the topic. Some of it is interesting.
Which parts interest you? things related to your heritage maybe?
Yes, cultural stuff is interesting.
agreed
I like to watch history documentary, but learning at school or uni not at all
I hate it
I'll teach it better to you :P
Of course, history is one of my favorite subjects.
The main problem in my country is - children mostly learn historical fabrications as "history".
I got a degree in history.
Yes!
I like reading about ancient cultures.
Yes.
