To those who enjoy learning about history whats your favorite era to read about?

Got any history buffs on GAG? whats your favorite era to study?

Prehistory - stone age

Bronze age- Iron age

Classical era

Dark ages - Medieval era

Renaissance - Colonial era - the enlightenment

Industrial - Modern era

My favorite era of human history would be that of the Native Americans, pre-colonial era. Unfortunately, there just isn't that much from that time period that isn't mostly speculation.

Somewhat in the same vein; I also like other historical time periods from either ancient, or even pre-historical ages. The ancient Egyptian period, during the Old Kingdom especially, as well as ancient Mesopotamia, Sumeria, etc.

I enjoy reading about the Stone Age, although we have virtually no historical fact about it, such as written records, but I enjoy learning what scientists and antropologists discover.

I guess you could say that I like the portions of history we don't know as much about, such as something like the Victorian or Industrial ages, from which we have plenty of fact and documentation.

It depends on the area. I like looking at Pre-Columbian Americas as well as the Columbian Exchange. However, in Europe I like looking at the events leading up to The Great War.
