I think Ancient history is absolutely fascinating , but I ticked modern , which in reality your picture says it all ( then we saw same with Covid ) , I think all history is just so interesting , and its a topic I regret not taking more seriously , but see.. education occurs in general at the wrong part of life ( 16- 17 ) , if you don't take at a Tertiary level , and we tend to skim over things to complete a curriculum.
Hmm it's difficult to choose just one. Antiquity, Ancient Egypt, "Ancient" Greece (Peloponnesian wars, war with Persia etc.), Pre-columbian America, as well as the Golden Age of piracy during the 17th century and the French Revolution are some of my faves
I would say Renaissance (it's the period after middle age, I'm not sure how is it called in English)
I mostly went off what Wikipedia said except for Primeval and Modern. So Renaissance (I can never spell that word XD), would fall under Middle Ages. The way they divided it was kind of stupid. They had Middle Ages end in 1945😂, but it's fine.
What do you like about the Renaissance?
That's weird in France it's a totally different period and it start in Florence Italy.
What? XD
This is so weird, I think they don't know much about history if they did this. In France all period have their name and time period like "La belle époque" but in England the same time period is called "Victorian" and "Edwardian" they name the time period by their monarch name (but is it very similar time period as the French "La belle époque").
There's also "Elizabethan"(uk), Lee temps des lumiere (French Revolution), "L'empire" Napoleon time period, etc...
I know, I kind of rushed this question, but I don't think I could fit all the sub-periods anyways, and I know Wikipedia isn't a good source.
Yeah, I don't bother with those, but certainly there should be more as they are very different.
I went off the "General Periods"
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_time_periods
No way is 1500 "early modern"😂
Rome during the Republic, especially the late Republic
I've been to Ancient Rome. Ancient Rome was cool. I agree that the transitional period from Paganism to Christianity was probably the most interesting.
That’s a couple hundred years later than the period I’m fascinated with, but it is interesting too
Oh. I don't know the exact dates.
The period you’re talking about is probably the 4th century CE. I’m talking about roughly the first century BCE. But both are fascinating periods.
How's that the LATE Roman period? Wouldn't that be when it started. Damn political correctness. B. C. and A. D. was much less confusing. The Empire was founded in the year 27 BC
I meant the late Roman Republic. The Republic was founded in 510 BCE and ended in 27 BCE, so the late Reoublic period began around 100 BCE.
Oh. I don't know anything about the republic
It’s quite interesting. But so is the Empire.
