Most likely I would know what fire is for having witnessed bush fires or those fires ignited by lightning. So, fire would not be a novelty in itself. I would obviously also know the dangers and advantages associated with fire.

However, if I would witness how another human is able to create fire, I would probably ask myself how they do it and ask that person how they do it because I would see it as an advantage over others to be able to master fire.

Since scientist have determined that cave people most likely had only a minimal vocabulary, I would probably go for answer number 1, which is probably the most accurate in my case.

Not entirely true. Huge numbers of words we use today are direct descendants of proto-indo European. Fire comes from paewyr, as does the word for fire across several modern languages.
