Is love really the meaning of life, in all its different forms?

Many people crave it throughout their lives and don't even realize it, because love can come in several forms, it doesn't have to just be romantic, but love is one of the only things someone always looks for, it's known to have such effects on human life that there's a word for those that don't have it and it always has negative results, loneliness, weither its the love of a partner, friends or family, when someone is on their death bed, its normally the last thing someone wants to see before they pass on, which is to see their loved ones, could love be the meaning of life?

You know i can provide a 20 thousand word esoteric essay on something like this, i just don't think anyone will benefit from it.

First, it's tough to get people to agree on what love is in the first place.

But basicslly, your question is not even about love, even though you want your question to be about love, it is about what "life" actually is. No, life is not what happens between birth and death.

On this site obviously, most people think that sex is the meaning of life. They actually don't think it, they... they just give a voice to their pphysiology. And a good half of us only saw the reproductive instinct as the highest form of love. Which is very, very sad to acknowledge.

Love is the result of life.

Thus, the meaning of life is not love, but the creation of love.

If your life doesn't create love, then you aren't living, are not exercising your soul, you're just a biodrone.

The way you phrased it, it's like you define love as something to consume. I won't give you my definition of love, but i will say that it's not something to be consumed. It cannot be consumed at all. It can only be created. ㅤ

Yes. But real love. Not that b. s. "romantic love" (not saying it doesn't exist, but it's actually rare). Most people that claim to be in love are not. And they will sadly never experience real love. Real love is God's love, it's kindness for no other reason than you have ability to make someone smile and brighten their day. Gratitude reciprocates. Love is selfless and in abundance for those that know how to recognize it.

Yea I suppose even the illusion of feeling loved even when it's not can have a similar effect, thats of course until they realize it wasn't real

Not exactly. I love when I am in a loving relationship. But I also like living alone. I've learned how to love myself first before I a person doesn't love themselves, how can they possibly love anyone else?

I don't believe that love should be a goal to reach. There wouldn't be a time when I was finally able to have someone to love and say "I have arrived"!!

Of course most of us love our children. I do anyway, and that's a very special kind of love. 💕 ♥️

It's not the entire meaning of life though, but it's a great feeling to love and be loved.

So you think you'd have something to live for if you didn't have that love for your children? cause what you technically said is that you live alone but your life is your children, and your love for yourself, but love was mentioned on both of those so now I'm confused 😂

If I never had a child I would still love myself because I have learned that we need to love ourselves.

I love my sons (Garrett and Tony). I don't get to see either of them at all though.
But they live in my heart. ❤️
