Do you think love can be the meaning of life?

I think there's a high possibility, think of it, everything that's good in life and that leads to true happiness is from love, family, partners, marriages, friends, it's what completes a person's life, I'm sure there's many people with money that are unhappy or have a limited source of happiness, because they lack love in their life, fruit for thought lol

Objectively, I don't see a meaning of life. I see tasks and goals, life as species programming their members to spread genes, that is the task. Until these members die, that is the goal. Whether or not an individual had opportunities to procreate doesn't even matter because the individual does not matter, only the collective, the species itself.

Subjectively, it's another story. I'm certain I couldn't reach fulfillment nor emotional balance without love, companionship, belonging, music, art, thinking, imagination and all those things. I need those things to form personal meanings of life out of a universe that has, objectively, no sense except this fragile frenzy to maintain and spawn species.

The goal of every living being is to reproduce, love is just an evolutionary resource to achieve that goal, it can make a person very happy, but they are just neurotransmitters.

Without question! I don't wanna sound arrogant but I'm happy with my career choice and where I am in my life, professionally speaking. All of it doesn't mean a thing when I have an argument with the man I love before going to work. It doesn't matter how much money I make or what my position is, my thoughts are with him. It's no different than a loved one suddenly becoming very ill or, God forbid, dying. Your career, position, possessions take a second seat, they don't mean a thing.

Thanks, I think we've all been there. I remember watching a story about a MLB player, one of the best in the '90s, that was going through marital problems and was playing terrible! His coach "benched" him and sent him home for like the whole month of June or something like that. His wife and him worked it out and the player ended up dominating the rest of the season. I have to look it up because I don't remember the players name but it was an amazing story!

I think so. A strong support system helps you be optimistic and face life’s challenges easily. Without it, there’s no amount of money that can fill the void of loneliness. Nothing that can replace your family or the feeling you get when they make you smile after a hard day. It eases the hurdles. 💕

There are many other things that can give meaning to someone's life. But they require some kind of achievement or posession or something that they could invest their life, time and energy on. But love gives meaning to life simply just because of existing. It demands nothing in return. Love can give meaning to life even if we have nothing. Also when we do have nothing else left to hold upon.

Thats actually a good thing but I haven't forgotten the stories you've told me of neighbors screaming lately when finding their partners cheating tho 😂

It happened many time and it's so funny, one time it was a restaurant owner who found out his wife was cheating on him cause the dude called her on the restaurant phone saying "hello dear" and the dude lost his cool he blew up in the restaurant so loud I heard it from the apartment I stayed in during the Holliday and then he made a scene in the street screaming like a banshee his wife tried to get into her car and he was just screaming and kicked the wheel like it would do anything to the car XD

Another day it was my Portuguese neirghour who screamed for hours during nap time I got curious so I bend over the window to look at them and I ended up making my fish plush fall down on their yards XD that was when I was a kid, I got traumatized cause I wanted my plush back (I just won it during a game during a fubfair and I had to wait until they stopped screaming which was at 7 pm and they started fighting at 1 pm. That was the longest hours of my life I kept on looking at my fallen plush all afternoon during hours *-*
Guess we're more the country of passion than love though it's messy XD

Yes there's a lot of cheating here, there's lots of cheating in Latin countries in general, they're reputed for being countries of love / passion but sadly tons of cheating happen. People forgive cheating a lot more here though compared to others countries, like in American tv show cheating is seen as the worse stuff that can happen while in French tv show 99 % of the time the people forgive the cheater it's so weird

French people usually only know stereotype and American movie / tv shows so they would be confused if you acted very American XD

Not in Café no they only have Croissant and Chocolatine. Also is it extremely rare to find donut in bakery. Usually when I want to eat a donut I just buy it in a grocery shop like Leclerc because outside of it good luck finding one. Some bakery have it but it's rare and they only have those with sugar on it or chocolate no other one.
In Paris there's a Krispy creme but outside Paris to find some donut you need to go to a grocery shop or be lucky it's also nearly impossible to get a freshly baked one most are frozen donut reheated.
When I crave donuts I just handmade them.
Not many shop sell donut as they're not popular when I was a kid and eating donut people thought I was weird, they became a bit more popular now which is why Krispy creme opened a shop in Paris but still it's hard to find donut here and they're nearly all frozen one too sadly

Yes there's only one sadly, when I saw they were coming to France I wanted to go then I saw they went to Paris only
Well I just follow a recipe on internet, I take an American recipe then do it, it's pretty similar to doing French carnaval beignet, it's easy to make.
