A mythical feeling that doesn't exist. I see things for what they are, and I'm starting to believe more and more that true "unconditional love" only comes from your parents. That's it. Even in some cases, that does happen (for those who were unfortunate enough to have bad parents).

Everything in life is conditional. If you don't fulfill your role, your partner will break up on you and vice versa. If you don't do your job properly, your boss will fire you. If you don't study for your exam, you will fail.

There's judgment involved and there are conditions involved, and nobody can escape that. There are women who wouldn't even look at a short dude, but want all the live and attention from a man they like. Are they not justified in having a preference? They are totally justified, but they have to understand that their preference doesn't necessarily have to like them back. The same applies for men too.

I think this concept of "true unconditional love" has raised a generation of entitled girlfriends who compare what their men do to them with what other men do for their girlfriends. "Why can you not be more like him? Look at what he does for her" and "do you not love me?" We hear that a lot, and we are tired of it. Your man will not love you unconditionally, there are things you have to do in order for you to keep him. Women don't love men unconditionally either, so it's fine and we accept it. I think the whole concept is out of touch and unrealistic.

There are duties and there are responsibilities. There is communication and there's understanding. All of these come before a simple feeling of "love" that can fluctuate during the course of a relationship. The simple excuse of "we don't love each other anymore" isn't a good reason to divorce because you knew what you signed up for LONG before you read your wedding vows. This ain't no Disney fairytale, it's real life and people need to drop the entitled manipulative attitude. The next time you get in an argument with your partner DO NOT use the "do you not live me" trick because let me tell you right now, it doesn't work anymore. If that was true, it wouldn't be all doom and gloom and people wouldn't be getting divorced left and right and cheating on each other.

Moral of the story respect > love.

Love is part of our intelligent design and we are tirelessly seek it out. Clearly an emotional driven construct which incorporates lust, attraction, commitment, and compassion.

A strong loves take joy in a sacrificial give and take among both parties. My viewpoint that the relationship should be led by man and demonstrating this aspect consistently is often where Respect originates. Men should be aware enough to realize that seek love a verb and best exercised snd exemplified rather than a dead and meaningless noun.

Well, when I think of love, I think of the song by the band Supertramp called I Give a Little Bit. It reminds me of the real, long term relationships I had that were good. ‘I give a little bit, I give a little bit of my love to you. You give a little bit, you give a little bit of your love to me. There’s so much that we need to share, so send a smile and show you care.’ and so on.

look at all the context to which people use the word. ie love for food music movies sports pets friends relatives.. phones , toys, cars etc...

I can't take that word seriously and neither should you..

but to me it means what it's supposed to.. I don't throw the word around like the f bomb

Means nothing to me, it's just a word people use to fake out others into thinking they mean it but it doesn't exist.

To me nothing. Besides the fact that it’s a four letter word , actually saying it makes me a little nauseous and if you say it to girls they’ll let you reserve parking in their boner garage
