In childhood…
In my adult years I have actively avoided animals in captivity, when in Bali and Thailand - didn’t go to Elephant or Tiger sanctuaries on purpose. Even though everyone goes there. I just didn’t feel like putting my money into supporting of the business based on the captivity of other creatures.

The only time I went to somewhere involved animals - was Pandas in Chengdu but that wasn’t the zoo, there pandas live in their natural habitats and are greatly taken care of and encouraged to reproduce. Red Pandas lived in the forest too and it was difficult to see them unless they wanted you to see them.

I was just at the zoo on Thursday! Its more of a small local zoo so they dont have many big animals. This is a picture of the bobcat there

  Yeah this kitty acutally has a sad story. It has a rare form of cancer so they dont let it be in the wild because it could mate and pass on the bad genes 😭😭

I took my nephew back in December. I would have liked the elephant the best but they didn't have one anymore, so jaguars I guess?
