Actually here's some cool trivia about her. MLK Jr convinced her to keep staying on the show! He was a regular viewer of Star Trek! She was offered to go take a role in a play when Dr King stopped her and said 'you can not! for the first time on tv we (black folks) will be seen as we should be seen every day!'
