Has a complete stranger ever approached you and claimed to know your parents?

Several years ago, a strange woman approached me in a grocery store and claimed she used to work with my dad. I knew all of my dad’s colleagues and I had never seen this woman in my life. This occurred on two separate occasions in the same grocery store. I literally had to walk away from her because she wouldn’t stop pestering me. Thankfully, I never saw her again.

A homeless guy, visibly unstable mentally, told me the full name and profession of my mother. The only reasonable explanation I found was that he must have been a former colleague.

Sad story.

If the guy looked stable I would have engaged. But he wasn't so I didn't try my luck.

you see... they both had like seven siblings each, I even forgot... and dozens of cousins more, and everyone would stay around in the region too, so that alone... is A LOT of extended family, that might know them and about me, without me knowing about them or remembering them all

they also had lived in Mexico, in Texas, few towns here and there, and they tend to make lifetime friends and acquaintances, contacts, because they've been working forever on businesses too, they were always both, very social people

so, when some "random stranger" comes to me and claims to know my parents, they usually and actually know them and about me too, lmao
